Anforderungen

  • Sie verfügen über eine gute Portion Teamgeist und die Bereitschaft, gern Ihr Wissen zu erweitern
  • Technisches Studium ( Nachrichtentechnik, Elektrotechnik, Informatik, Physik) oder vergleichbare Qualifikation - gerne auch Berufseinsteiger mit Erfahrung in Signalverarbeitung, Bildverarbeitung oder Automatisierungstechnik.
  • Verständnis komplexer technischer Zusammenhänge analytisch erfassen und daraus erfolgreiche Lösungen entwickeln.

Manufacturing Operations Specialist

Responsibilities Include

  • Design, develop, simulate and test FPGA VHDL code
  • Integrate and test software and hardware components for the purposes of product development, modification, or improvement
  • Interface with manufacturing to help diagnose and resolve issues on established products

  • Work with the Senior Planner to create and release manufacturing orders to meet the production requirements

Skills and Qualifications

    Required

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Physics Engineering Physics or Electrical Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years in opto-mechanical or opto-electronics
  • Hands-on lab experience
  • Extensive knowledge of geometric/physical optics required
  • Programming experience with C or C++
  • Familiarity with data analysis using MATLAB

  • M.Sc. is preferred

Technical Support Analyst

Point Grey Research® Inc. is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Support Analyst to join the Support Team.

The Technical Support Analyst will work as part of the Support and Applications Engineering Team out of the Richmond office. In this role they will provide technical assistance to users of Point Grey's advanced digital camera technology products around the world. Point Grey's products are often incorporated into large and complex applications by highly educated and technically knowledgeable end users, resulting in unique and challenging problems to solve. This position is ideal for junior engineers that enjoy working with people through complex problems and are looking for a path towards doing Applications Engineering.

Responsibilities and Key Deliverables

  • Assist OEMs, distributors and end users in troubleshooting hardware, firmware and software issues (primarily through e-mail)
  • Provide support to sales team members in responding to customer technical questions
  • Issue RMAs, where necessary, for the return and repair of Point Grey hardware products
  • Update corporate website technical support section content
  • Write knowledge base articles, and update technical reference manuals and end user documentation
  • Work closely with the engineering and software development teams to resolve issues and bugs
  • Perform quality assurance testing on Point Grey software development kits and camera firmware

Skills and Qualifications

    Required

  • Fluent in English - spoken and written, other languages would be an asset
  • Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
  • Excellent all-around technical knowledge (PC hardware, software, general programming)
  • Strong customer service skills and/or support experience
  • Ability to be responsible, reliable, and well organized
  • Good knowledge of C, C++ or other object-oriented programming language
  • Diploma in computer systems technology or software development (IT certificates not accepted)

    Preferred

  • Knowledge of various digital camera interfaces including IEEE-1394, USB2 and USB3, CameraLink and Gigabit Ethernet

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate and control the North American Outside Sales activities; primarily B2B
  • Ensure that sales personnel are thoroughly trained and highly motivated
  • Help develop sales objectives, plans, programs and budgets, and ensure that sales targets are met in the territory
  • Ensure that positive customer relations are maintained at all times, and responding to problems or complaints that may arise
  • Review various activities of the department and make recommendations to increase quality and effectiveness of customer service
  • Provides management with information used to evaluate sales opportunities

Skills and Qualifications
