IOXperts

IOXperts, Inc. is a distributed company headquartered in Cambridge, MA.

Shortly after the iMac was introduced, IOXperts founder Steve Sisak and his team pioneered the development of USB drivers for the new platform and created a general framework for coding and debugging USB drivers quickly. The business has since expanded to include FireWire drivers. Our typical customers have been Windows peripheral manufacturers looking to expand to the Macintosh market.

Although our core business has been video, we also support many still cameras and have unique experience developing isochronous devices on both busses as well as device drivers in general. We also have expertise in other areas, such as block storage and audio.

We are now reaching out to consumers directly because of the unsatisfied and growing demand among Macintosh users for more variety and choice among peripherals. Mac OS X has required a complete rewrite of all drivers, and as the economy has slowed, many hardware vendors have backed away from the Macintosh market.

We have the devotion and expertise, and we hate to see Mac users wait. Our first consumer offering was the universal driver for FireWire cameras based on the DCam specification in November 2001, and we've added from there. We are always looking for niches that have been overlooked and cool new products.
