Issue:
This article explains how standard GigE PCI network
adapters may cause problems for GigE Vision cameras to respond to control commands.
Cause:
Point
Grey has observed intermittent failure to respond to control commands
when cameras are used in conjunction with standard GigE PCI network
adapters.
Solution:
In general, we recommend a PCI Express (PCIe) interface
equipped with an Intel PRO 1000 chipset. To purchase a recommended PCIe
GigE
network adapter from Point Grey, visit the interface
card accessories page on the Point Grey website (Part No. ACC-01-1100).
