Sony Pregius Comparison (Mono Cameras)

Sony's Pregius line of Global Shutter CMOS sensors redefined the relationship between performance, quality and cost with the 2014 release of the the IMX174, the first Pregius sensor. The most recent sensors, the 8.9 MP IMX255 and the 12.3 MP IMX253, were released in our Grasshopper3 camera family, pushing our total to eight unique Pregius sensors. With a variety of sensors ranging from 2.3 MP to 12.3 MP, we continue to add more choice with these high performance and innovative models. For this round-up review, we will only be looking at the 14 mono camera models.
