With the latest release of the FlyCapture® SDK, version 1.7 Release Candidate 13, Point Grey now offers users with a choice of four (4) different MSI (.msi) distributions. Users can select between versions built for x86 32-bit and x64 64-bit Windows operating systems, and between versions that include or do not include the Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives library.

Intel® IPP is an extensive library of multi-core-ready, highly optimized software functions for multimedia data processing, and communications applications. Some of the benefits to FlyCapture users include
the following:
- Internal multithreading for maximum performance on multicore CPUs
- Improved color space conversion (e.g. YUV444 to Windows-displayable BGRU)
- Improved JPEG performance as compared to regular C code
IPP is also able to select the processor-specific DLL for improved performance on supported Intel CPU architectures, and is regularly updated to support the latest Intel CPUs, as well as bug fixes and performance updates.
