FlyCapture® 2.0 Public Beta

Point Grey is announcing the first public beta release on the downloads site.

The much anticipated FlyCapture 2.0 provides users with the ability to develop applications under both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, and is fully compatible with all Point Grey 1394 and USB cameras. FlyCapture 2.0 also features a simpler and more intuitive object oriented API, including C and C++.

Feature Spotlight

While development is continuing towards a final release of the Ladybug® 1.3 SDK, some significant features have been added to the Ladybug 1.4.0.1 SDK and can be found on the downloads site.

Three of the new features of version 1.4 of the Ladybug SDK are:

1. Image stabilization - This feature is ideal for applications where the camera may be vibrating or moving during image capture.
2. Virtual Camera Rotation - allows the user to correct any physical misalignment of the camera so vertical lines are vertical.
3. Output to flash video for easier distribution to the web.
